Wareside is a small village in the beautiful rolling countryside of East Hertfordshire.
The village has a good Church of England primary school and associated nursery, a Church, two popular pubs and a village hall. There’s also a vineyard selling bona fide English Wine! Sadly there’s no shop or post-office, but it’s not far to the market town of Ware, and there is a bus service used by a number of residents daily.
There are regular opportunities for entertainment of various kinds from pantomime to show-stoppers, and fund-raising extravaganzas co-ordinated by community-minded villagers. The village has its own quarterly publication delivered to every home with local stories and reminiscences, and occasionally someone unearths some new facts about the legendary Treacle Mines.
We hope this site gives you access to all that’s going on in the village, with occasional snippets from the surrounding area.
